I went to see an elderly relative today and she had bought a battery operrated can opener because her hands were to week to open cans by hand . Trouble was she had been trying to open the clampack for the last week . The thing was aimed at elderly people as well . Its actually works quite well and was a good idea until some tw*t decided to put it in a clam shell
The Spirit soon cut through the plastic and after I installed the batteries she was very gratefull .

Ah, hello thread. Have we met before? once, or twice?
No?
Maybe it was your siblings then, how many of you are there anyway? your parents hillbillies or something?

Blast
I'm guaranteed to use the Squatter in a (work) day, not so much recreationally, I usually find a use for the Blast. Not so much the Classic anymore (the Blast has scissors and pointy things) and the Soldier only comes out for (obviously) Reaming stuff, & food - but since I've got a knife today, I won't need it for food.
For what it's worth, you could probably get through most everything with the
Blast
it's as useful as everyone says, but it just doesn't give you that same warm feeling as misusing a SAK,

I was playing with my Powerlock last night before bed, so, technically when I woke up this morning I was "carrying" it with me. It's a good thing too. My pillow had fallen out of reach during the night, but because I was so well equipped, I didn't have to get out of bed to fetch my pillow. I use the pliers for the extra few inches I needed, and voila. It's not the sexiest multitool story ever told, but I like to think this proves how handy they are in any situation.

Usually weekends are different but I did plan on working today but alas it rained
but I saw no point to change it

Well, on the farm, it was the Charge ALX and Guppie (opened bags of concrete with the guppie). Then went to the climbing gym with a Wenger S557 (used it last night too for opening beer bottles)

I carried a ST 200 today, and I used it quite a bit! I am in the process of getting the boat ready to be put in the water on May 15!

Went geocaching today, "armed" with a Skeletool CX and a Farmer. The latter was very useful for spreading butter on a scone, as the tea rooms were closing and would only give us takeaway (sans knife).
