One sentence (or more) review on the light please.

Well I'm not a light nut so I can't be too technical but I do like it very much.  I find the mode spacing to very useful.  High is very bright and the lowest is quite dim (good thing).   The UI makes sense and works well for me.  I love the fact that it has a battery level indicator.  It runs off of a AA. I've always been partial to AA and AAA lights. It's relatively easy on the pocket.  It will tail stand.  And it looks pretty cool too  :D. It's a winner in my book.

Haha, I'm not too light tech either and I really appreciate your summery, thank you.

Lobby here is a full on tech review of the SC 5 from my go to source for flashlight reviews.

I tried to test my cheap underwater light for some light scuba diving...

It had managed fine for snorkeling before

Snorkeling, no problem..

Scuba, fail....

The batteries got totally destroyed, after less than an hour in the sea (5 to 10m depth, so nothing extreme)

You can also understand why I suggest and use only regular batteries and no LiIons in the sea.
You do not want a light exploding on your head or in your hand

It might be hard to believe, given how much you carry yours, but I think yours is in better looking condition than mine.  I normally carry my AAA lights on my keys so unless the anodising is pretty tough they look like hell quite quickly.

I always carry a Streamlite Stylous Pro, which I used tonight, trying to find the light switches in my hotel room. I couldn't find any other than the bathroom's. Finally the light cone revealed a Remote Light Control. It was a win for Steamlite.

Yea mine rides clipped to my pocket, so it fares pretty well.  It has YEARS on it though.  I'm starting to get curious as to how long it will last.  I've grown quite attached to it and I cannot find any to back it up with.   I keep looking, but none ever shows up on ebay.

As far as keys go, they are the most destructive EDC item I think.  They destroy things quickly.  I don't really make a habit of putting much on my keyring anymore.

This. I pretty much always carry my keys in another pocket by themselves. They just tore up too many SAK scales. I imagine they could do the same to a flashlight lens, if given a chance.
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.

Yep.

I hang my keys from a pocket clip.

It's a little to big for EDC and set up as a dedicated light to use with a pistol for home defense.

But it has the best tint of any light I have ever owned and the "bulletproofness" of Malkoff/Surefire is very reassuring.

As the years take their tool, I need light more than I did before. Today a ZL SC52 helped me find a bottle of lambic in my favorite pub.

My work keys have always ridden on a belt clip at 3 o'clock, for the last ten years or so.  My home/car keys are on a Metolious carabiner that gets either clipped to my front belt loop temporarily, clipped to my EDC bag while at work, or hung on a hook while I'm home.  I don't ever put them in my pockets.

I'm a Malkoff fan.

Which drop-in are you using?  My favorite lights for handgun use are Malkoff MD2 with M61N and M61NL with the high/low switch.  The M61NL is my bedside table light, set to low to help preserve night vision.  Both have excellent tint.  I also have a neutral Hound Dog that I love for checking the property and walking the dogs.

Emergency cash.  I have to use the pliers on the CT34 to get it out of there, so it's pretty secure.

Cuts down on the temptation to spend it as well I'd guess.  Nice idea. :)

Dang Clown.

Love to see a brother willing to go hard into the paint. Strong carry there.

Dig going simple with the AA SC 5 and it is hard to beat a Champ.

Bark River small fixed also? Sexy.

What model is it?

What kinda sheath you got?

Thank you for your kind replies.  I like AA and AAA lights simply for the ease of finding new batteries if need be.

I have 2 SwissChamps.  This one is an older version.  I only recently really began giving it some pocket time.  To my surprise it's really not too bad in the pocket.  And with so many tools it's really growing on me.

The Bark River is a Pro Scalpel II.  It came with a nice leather belt sheath that is slim enough to slip into a pocket or sometimes I will carry it in my KSF Adirondack pocket sheath.

Very cool.

I would love to see a picture of the Pro Scalpel in the KSF pocket sheath.

That the only Bark River knife you have? Curious about fit in the pocket sheath.
