I would recommend one of these:

http://www.malkoffdevices.com/malkoff-devices-flashlights/stock-flashlights/turn-key-md2-with-high-low-switch

 ;)

I love it. My wallet says I shouldn't but I do Anyway.

I just got one, and I would say it's the best value in a top-quality US-made light available, with great build quality and simple, robust engineering.  Plus, the modular construction makes it easily upgradable when the time comes.  I ordered a M61N drop-in also, as I'm getting to the point where I just don't want "cool" white anymore.

I like Zebralight too...

No, it's natural HA.

The shot was underexposed because I had the lights turned on, and the Prometheus was reflecting the overhead lights.  However, I will say that the most recent (especially the US-produced) Zebralights seem to have more of a darker-gray finish now, rather than the more "greenish" finish they used to have.

I just realized the new SC52 L2 offers Sealed and potted LED driver circuitry which is not a feature of the SC52. I want it just on the basis of that if it means what I think it does. I understand that the circuitry is sealed so if a battery leaks it will not damage the circuitry, correct? What does potted pertain to?

Potted electronics are much more liquid and shock resistant than unpotted circuitry.  They are basically encapsulated in epoxy.

It still would be an issue if a battery leaked, as the chemicals would contact the underside of the driver board where the (+) contact is.  My advice is to never leave alkaline batteries unattended inside a flashlight.

Wow, this thread got dropped a while ago :o

Time to bring it back to life I think.  Today, and for a good long time now, I've been carrying my Eagletac D25A Clicky on my keys.  Backed up with my 2xAAA LED Mini-Maglite in my organiser.

That's an excellent light that never quite seemed to get the following I think it deserved.  I love mine. :)

Preon 2, Preon 2, Preon 2 :D I've carried this thing since 7th May every single day. It's already a bit beat up, but is actually an awesome light once that I "fixed" the flickering problem.

Got a #4 brass peak el capitan. Once I filed/sanded/polished a keychain attachment, added a super rare Moddoo clip, I was happy.  No qtc in this one, just 1 mode.  Heavy but classy.

I've had bad experiences with most multi-mode lights. You have to twist quickly the right amount of times to get the proper setting and that doesn't always go so smooth. Therefore one mode is ideal for me.
