After carrying my Thrunite T10 for a good while I've decided to go back to it's even smaller brother; the Ti3.

Scratch that.  After Mercury talking about not being able to find a Monarch 300 I thought to myself "I actually really used to like that light",  and then I thought "actually, I guess I still like that light".  So guess what  I'm carrying now.

I'm really starting to settle into a Monrogue level of predictability lately :P although I don't post it everyday  >:D

Work light - quark aa tactical
Work knives - Byrd tern and gerber eab lite
Work tool - modded kick

Off-work light - sunwayman V10R in pocket and Preon Revo on keys
Off-work knife - the brushed stainless Wenger traveller on my house keys.
Off-work tool - sideclip or balance

I don't know much about them, so just had a quick online peek at the specs. Are they a fixed light level, Nate?

Yes. But they can change form spot to flood like the old ones. Only difference is this one does it at 272 lumens.

Gotcha  :tu: Still might be a bit too "loud" for me though  :D   I like the "idea" of a maglight though, and if there was a way to calm it down a bit when I need to without sticking my thumb over the end, I could be quite interested  ;)

I've got way too comfortable with the ability to choose different levels.  :)

I love that light.  I am searching for a backup, but you know how these things go.  When one comes available for a decent price, I won't have the cash to snag it.  When I have money, they either aren't available anywhere or the only one is like $70 or something ridiculous like that.  There is one in a Skeletool combo pack on Ebay right now for $79.54.  If it were $50 I would grab it but I can't do that much.

I understand that. Myself, I like one setting, all out. No hitting a button a bunch of times try to get the setting I want.

 I understand that too. It's part of the reason I like the Sunwayman V10R so much - on/off and a twiddly widget dimmer switch  :D Generally speaking a simple on/off does the trick, but when I need a softer light, it's there at the fingertips without having to go "hunting" :)

I carried this Malkoff MDC 1AA flashlight today.  The MDC emits a beautiful beam, but it is large for a 1AA light so I don't carry it as often as thinner lights.

I tend to carry my Thrunite T10 mostly.  I got the Neutral to try out a tint I had never used and while I like it fine for certain situations I got the CW for everything else.  My Tis sees a lot of pocket time as a simple light but I've had issues with it not wanting to work.  A quick tap and on she comes but it it annoying.  I got the MiniMag 2AAA incan for a buck so it's been fun playing with it.  I dig the color and it makes a great low light light especially with it's warm light.

Oddly enough I'm finding I am chasing lumens since owning the T10's, they seem good but I'd like brighter  8)

I almost always carry my new Olight S10R and often wonder why.

Today, I rode my bike and the light failed. Little S10R to the rescue:

Missed the R part. When I know the flashlight by the looks alone, I don't read as carefully as I probably should.

You do have the old one too, right?

Gave it to my mom, but yes. Maybe I should make a comparison...

Olight I3S.

Perfect little companion for everyday carry. It has never let me down has three useful settings and uses one AAA battery that seems to last forever.

Only downside is it took away my motivation to buy more flashlights.

Been thinking about an edc light but in the mean time i am carrying my iPhone 5S 32gb.
Does someone have an idea how long it wil burn on a full battery with the screen out. It is bright enough and could be extremely handy in an broken elevator or power shortage.
