Been playing with a new Surefire Titan model here lately instead of my usual Peak Eiger. For a quick and handy combo, a Minichamp clipped to a single AAA light is nice to have along. And you need to be sure your alox is color coordinated with the light. Wouldn't want to commit a fashion faux pas. :)

Sweet.  I was just looking at that light.  I had been looking at the S10 as well.  I have several 123/s just sitting around and with the ability to use rechargeable seems like a winner.

Oh it is a winner.

It is in the running as the best EDC light I own. Hard to grasp how small it really is until you see it in person. I just drop it in my front pocket and it disappears.

500 lumens from something so small is crazy. Not sure how they did it but it has a beautiful very large hotspot with just a little spill. Throws great.

Magnet in the tail is very strong and handy.

All of this is good but I saved the best for last. The UI is almost perfect for me. Turbo and moonlight can be directly accessed from off with easy to remember double click or click and hold. It has memory so you can have it set on one of the middle modes and be able to go to that with a regular click.

Here is a picture for size reference and I just noticed the kneeling matches my Alox almost perfectly.

Very nice  8).  I have been looking for a single 123 light and the two that keep popping up are this ^^ and the S10.  Great looking light as well which never hurts.

You were carrying 10 lights! :o  Any particular need?  Or was is just because you can? :D

It's a little bit of both, actually.  I like having multiple tint options at my disposal, whenever possible.  I prefer having at least one cool, one neutral, and warm light, readily available.  I tend to use neutral emitters, the most of all, and I find that the Nichia 219B triple in the Solarforce L2P, and the neutral emitters in the Zebralights are the most heavily used lights, among the bunch, in most instances.

When I can only carry one light, on person (at work, for instance.  In instances like that, the others are in my pack, which I have within arm's reach), it's always the Zebralight SC600w Mk III.  It's extremely flexible, with a wide range of outputs, a super intuitive user interface, and fantastic thermal regulation.

I wish all lights were thermally regulated like this, rather than having fixed timed step-downs output.

About the only thing I miss, while using that, is having the momentary feature (no forward clicky tail switch).  Aside from that.  it's a perfect EDC light, most of the time - easily pocket-carried. The neutral tint on that light is superb.

A dedicated headlamp can be extremely handy, albeit not heavily used.  It's like having a spare tire for your vehicle.  You never known when you'll need it, until you need it.  Sometimes, it's invaluable, being able to have both of your hands free, while doing work.

I tend to favor 18650-based lights (even for EDC), because of the higher output performance, and the much longer run times (on the lower outputs).  This kind of flexibility is very important to me, and the added weight of carry feels like a small price to pay, for this flexibility.
