The Paratool can accommodate full-length blades in the 2 positions on each side farthest from where the pliers head folds in.

Cunning. I would have thought the PT would be the same, otherwise the blade would stop the pliers folding out, but I'm basing that on a memory of a photograph :P

You only have short stuff on the side it folds out, otherwise you couldn't fold the pliers out.
You can get 2 layers of long stuff on the other side, further in than the pliers need to go.

Aha :)
So far I've replaced the plastic washer with some real ones, which has reduced the clumping significantly. Nearly got the hang of flicking it open (bruised knuckles  ::)).
I'm looking for a 1/4inch socket thingy for a PPP, anyone got a spare one they'd be willing to trade? I'll post in the tools wanted forum in a bit, but this seemed like a sensible place to start.

Here's my son's PT-510

Neil

thats the one im missing, i wanna do basicly what a did with my PPP but with a PT-510 as the base

Looking at my PPP & my PT 510, besides the obvious (plier head & gear covers) they look identical. Clio would you like me to do some SOG lego & post pics on the weekend

you mean gratuitous PPP/PT-510 porn?, sure that'll be awesome :tu: the only reason that i haven't done it myself is that i dont have a PT-510, yet :D

I never got around to doing the Lego so Clio you are going to have to bug Medic for some PT510 + SOG interbreeding  :D :D. As my Paladin is wrapped & packed for departure in the am for a Northern relocation.  :D :D

My 3 SOG's ( 2 PowerLocks and a PPP with attached clip)

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

Don't worry Angel. I will be breeding the PT-510 the moment I get it.

Andrew, do you prefer the Powerlock without the gear covers ??? I have seen you selling some Powerlock’s that have the gear covers and your keepers are without.

I think the main reason people buy a sog is because of the fact you can cusomize them. I know that was what sold me. That and the compound leveraged pliers.
And it flips open too! :multi:

"Andrew, do you prefer the Powerlock without the gear covers ??? I have seen you selling some Powerlock’s that have the gear covers and your keepers are without."

The one shown are older SOG's w/o covers. It make no difference to me if they fitted with covers or not. I do prefer the single bar release clip for the tools rather than the individual piano key locks, the single bar is a lot easier to use - IMHO.  :D

For what I use them for they are fine and do the job.  I find my self carrying my SOG ToolClip ( large one ) as a money clip when not carrying one in a sheath. My ultrasonic cleaner is due here tomorrow so I can give it a good cleaning as it can not be disassembled.  :ahhh

Depends on where I get the SOG's, ALL are sold the way I find them - in regards to gear covers, in regards to implements and tools any thing goes

Right now the 2 PLs and 1 PPP  ( all used and modified to my needs ) are all I  use ,  ALL the other SOG stuff got cleaned out ( I do have some NIB - CrossCuts, CrossGrip, Micro ToolClip and ToolClips... squirreled away)  :tu:

I have this full size bit adapter laying around that fits in a PowerLock. Thinking about giving it a spin in to see how it works out.

That's pretty neat but it takes up all the component spaces on one handle.  :(

I also ran into problems with the two layered scissors when modifying my SOG Powerlock

My solution was to use Leatherman scissors, an easy, nice and quick fix

It should work on your B44 too       :salute:
