I carried my Buck mini toothpick to the park and used it to trim some plastic and assemble this huuuuge model plane

Be careful, don't let him get into your head!  :ahhh  All I've carried folderwise for the past week is that Mercator, hasn't left my pocket since Sawman sent it!  Loving that knife so far.  :tu:

Benchmade makes high quality knives available at very fair prices. I love my 531 and there are several other BM's on my wish list.

I really think you need a new BM Joel!  :pok: :pok: :pok: >:D

BM does make a nice folding knife.  I also like Cold Steel, and love my Voyager!

One problem I used to have with Cold Steel (and this was 10 years ago so might have changed) is the partial serrations they used were hair thin and impossible to re-sharpen. This is a huge turn-off for me.

I should say though, my new Spydie has me completely spoiled!  I think it'll be hard to buy anything else from here on out.  Well, maybe not too hard, I do want a Mini Grip!! :D

Ah really?  That would be a turn-off for me as well.  The only CS knife I own is my Voyager, and that's PE.  Takes a wicked edge, and seems to hold it fairly well also.

SpyderCo's are another favorite of mine. Like BM, high quality for a fair price. I own a Native FRN and LadyBug, both I highly recommend.

I went with the Kershaw Hinderer today and probably will for a while. I really liked the Chive but it's too small for me to EDC as I'm afraid I'd lose it. So this one is it for me. A friend of mine showed me a Spydie while I was at the sop today but he didn't stick around long enough for me to get a good look at it. When he pulled it from his pocket the blade instantly deployed. Anyone know which one this would be?

Not sure but I'll have to text him and ask tomorrow. It was way cool though. The reason I have the Hinderer is because another guy came into the shop with one that had the GI Joe Cobra engraved on it.

the spyderco wave series license the hook part that Emerson knives have. When you pull out the knife the hook catches in the pocket causing the blade to open.
The hinderer seems cool. Does your knife have the cobra too?

No, mine don't have the cobra. I can't even find that one. That guy is on a GI Joe kick right now buying all kinds of stuff.
