Which "FOLDING KNIFE" did you carry today?

I might go buy a Fällkniven U2 or Marttiini MFK-2 T and if I do i'll probably write a big review. Perhaps this post doesn't belong to this thread though, meh.

I have a U2 and it is without any doubt the sharpest knife I own.  The steel really is great.

Do you happen to know if it's rust resistant and if the steel is hard to bend and deform? Also, is the whole thing solid and durable?

Can't comment on the rust resistance as I haven't carried it enough, but the rockwell on the blade is 63+ I believe so it is a strong steel, probably more prone to chipping than bending.

Quality is good, but the handle is only linerless FRN.  The cost is in the steel really.

Carbon content in SGPS isn't really that high, only 1.4%. With 15% chromium it should have good rust resistance. S30v has 1.45% and 14% respectively.

Spyderco tenacious ever since I got it. I don't swap my EDC around like some people do, if I find something that works I settle on it unless it doesn't suit my needs anymore.

That wasn't me wanting liners, just pointing out that the handle is very cheap to make and that you pay for the steel.

I  can't really comment on the Sypderco 3 series because I don't own one.  But I do like the 4 series very much.  They are now adjustable with a torx bit so you can tighten up the pivot if required and take it apart.  I see spyderco offers replacement parts for their knives.  Tip up or down and right and left are included with the 4.  Jimping on the hump as well.  The grind is a bit different and they have re-shaped the tip perhaps to make it stronger and the blade has lost an 1/8 of an inch in the process.  Overall this is one fantastic knife and I think I will pick up a couple more in various config's for my edc's.
