I decided I needed a new knife. So I bought a new Buck Slim Line.
It is a light weight lock back. I have been using a flipper (Vantage Pro) so I am trying to use the hole in the blade. It has a solid lock up and fit and finish is good. The pocket  clip can be set at either end or side. The handles are anodized aluminum, the blade is Buck's standard 420HC. It is USA made. It does have a lanyard hole for those of you that like that. Cost was good at $20.

Nice barlow!

Thanks.....got bit by that traditional bug and now I'm rediscovering the utility of them.  I'm reminded of why my dad and grandpa kept a simple folder in their pocket all the time.  They were used up until they couldn't be sharpened, or were lost.  They didn't collect knives, and they seemed to get along fine with out OHO.  The Barlow just makes me smile a little bit when I use it

Sage 3.

Two things. I suck at taking pictures of the edge on my Sage and having 24 your duty gives one lots of time to get all gangster with one's Edge Pro Apex.

Very nice. The edge looks great!  :tu:

I can't really tell from the picture, but is it micro beveled?

Kind of a micro bevel knock the burr off action going on.

Did the edge at 30 degrees on the EPA then hit up the medium stones on the SM real light for a few passes.

Goes through paper with hardly any noise or resistance.
