I don't see what's special about it comparing to other saws, should be pretty effective on wood. Folding the handle is kinda pointless if you ask me, there's still the long blade. I don't suppose you can find trailblazer saws in UK?
Have you seen the Bahco Laplander? Its not as long as that saw, but it flys through wood and folds for easy carrying.I've not used a gator so I'm not much use otherwise sorry
I think that if I were looking for a take-down saw I'd be looking at ones that broke down into as few pieces as poassible. That Gerber looks a bit fiddly.
I'm positive that they did do a tri-fold saw. I sort of like the fiddle factor myself,it reminds me of how fiddly all the really cool gear was ,years ago
