Cell Phone Holster
« on: June 04, 2009, 06:20:37 AM »
I need some real-world advice.  I am looking for a cellphone holster that will hold not only my phone but a multitool.  The problem is there are plenty of big holsters, but they are too big.  As an example I tried the Maxpedition Rat Wallet but found it too bulky.  I am hoping to find something that will hold my thin cellphone and KF4 but not much else.  Let me know what you use that would possibly work.  (caution I may ask for pics  :D )

What kind of cell phone do you have?

I recently got a Nite Ize sheath that would hold my phone and a multi- I can't remember which one it was, but I bought it from another member here.  In the end I decided not to use it because the multi/touch screen interface seemed like a bad idea.

It's worth going to a camera store and checking the belt cases they have. The work great for phones and there's usually quite a selection.

If you don't mind a pic with your phone in it, I would appreciate it.  It hard to tell size from just a picture of the item with no comparison.

Appletree-I thought about camera packs but they do not have a waist clip.

cgk are you after a single sheath that would hold both your mt and cell at the same time or one that would fit either so you can rotate between them? Perhaps one of the Gerber tool+bits sheaths would also fit your needs. I'll make a mockup of a Dare when I go home and try if it will fit in one of mine.

Im looking for one that would hold both.  The Nite-Ize eleatherman posted might work.  Does anyone have a photo of it on a belt.  The Maxp. I tried looked great in pictures but was way too big in person.

I must stop reading MT.O.

Seen the Multi-pockits, I _HAD_ to buy it on ebay to accomodate my phones and MT (whose holster is badly tearing itself, though).

this money loss is YOUR fault!!!  :D

(only 21€ shipped w/insurance, instead of 30$)

(apart from jokes: thank you all for the mine of info & tips you are :) )
