I've got an Asus Eee 901.  We don't really get on.  Its size makes it very convenient and the battery life is just astounding but I so wish I'd bought one with an old fashioned hard drive rather than SSD :(

My wife has some out of the ark Samsung that we really should have replaced three or four years back and my boys with have some generic old POS that I was given and need to fashion some means of holding the screen to the base for  ::)  Don't look at me like that they're four and six, I'd rather they trash something that's already trash :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I could not get the XP driver to work and when I google the problem I found forum after forum where people had the same problem that I had and every answer was that there was no XP suported driver because Aspire 5100 never was intended to be solde with XP

What's wrong with the SSD drive? not big enough? my 32 gig works wonders :D

Whilst size does matter and I could certainly use an increase in capacity my main issue is speed, or lack thereof :(

The SSD in my Aspire One is pretty darned good... although Windows (and Linux on my machine) are set up for a standard HD, but there's a setting somewhere that optimizes it for SSD instead, so you may want to look that up.

SOny Vaio for me and Gatewat for my wife.  Both gave 2gigs, 120 gig HD, and Dual core processors.  Never really had any trouble out of any of them.

I currently have an Acer Aspire 8920. It replaced my first gen Asus Eee 701 4G. That one only had a 4Gig SSD! I got annoyed trying to do marking on a 7" screen that could not support 800x600.

The 8920 suits me fine, even though I have to lug it around all day. No pain...no gain!  :D

I've got a 17" Dell Inspiron, a 10" Asus eeePc 1000, a 15" Dell Inspiron, and a 15" IBM Lenovo Tablet... (the tablet's my wife's though)

MacBook here. 13 inch, aluminium unibody. Nice one!
Used an iBook before, and have an eeePC for backup.

I have a friend who jumped blindly into that one too... they got the first generation EEE... it's irritated me to no end that it wouldn't do a somewhat normal resolution without the "zoom" mode or whatever... useless...

our new laptop is a bit wierd as it's 15.6 inch, and does 1366x768 resolution...

Aspire 1692wlmi and a 12'' alox Powerbook G4. Kind of oldish and slackish but they get the job done. :tu: Plus, if I need speed or graphics, I can throw the task at one of the dozen or so boxes hanging around... :D
