..........I have done something I thought I would never do. I bought a Leatherman!

Since finding this here site I have been developing the need to add MT's to my ever growing collection of......stuff! As if my knife and flashlight hobby wasn't bad enough. I have always been a Gerber man when it comes to Multi-Tools. And I have recently added 3 Gerber MT's since coming here, so the addiction has started.

But since then I have read alot about Leatherman tools and regardless of here or other forums I have found there to be quite a following as far as these are concerned, and from most accounts their quality seems to be some of the best. With that said I will admit I am no fan of Leatherman. I have never owned any of their products and had every intent on never owning any of their stuff.......not to put to fine a point on it, me and Mr. Leatherman don't agree on some issues that are of a very important nature. And while I support anyone's right to their own beliefs and whatnot, when those beliefs are used in public support of a cause that could strip me of my rights, I take that personally.

Now I don't want to turn this thread into some kind of debate, so I am going to leave it at that. Now, regardless of this issue, I like quality and there is no doubt that they make a good tool. So I decided to finally give one a try and see. I just snagged myself a brand new Leatherman Wave for a price I couldn't pass up........$37.99 and still in the clamshell packaging. Ebay can be a wonderful site!

Should be here early next week and I will get some pics up and initial review of it up when it does. And just for the record, if I get to liking these Leatherman's.......I am blaming all of you!

You may not believe this, but I only joined this forum a little over a month ago. At that time, I only had a Leartherman Pulse. Here is my list so far. I can blame nobody else but me...and MultiMat for trying to warn me...see...being a good Samaritan does get you something!

A great tool is a great tool despite any other factors.

The Leatherman New Wave is in my opinion a great tool.

I think you will be impressed with the tool overall, but let us know either way.

Well I am putting my foot down. Once these 23 items from eBay + the 5 other auctions I am currently winning come in, I will proceed at a much slower pace thereafter.

Well, I don't know about 12 Leathermans.......but I have been a fan of Victorinox for a while now. And I have been eyeing a Spirit X.
