I think there was also a slingshot thread some long time ago.

Anyway interesting solution to securing the bands

I cut up an apple on the train, cut and filed my wife's pinky fingernails with the Mountaineer. (she claims to keep them long for scratching itches; I think it's nose-picking...)

Work has been crazy lately, and as one of the assistant warehouse managers, I'm all over the place.  Pallets and crates need to be repaired, bands have to be cut, packages opened, furniture taken apart/put together, etc.  My multis have gotten one hell of a workout, often in the hands of others under close supervision.  ;)  Both the Spirit RT and the MP600 have performed flawlessly.  :tu:

Disassembled and cleaned a Victorinox alarm clock (mainly it's contacts) that was not in use for a few years with a battery inside with my Wave and its sunglasses screwdriver

My wife made me proud today.  We were at Pizza Hut, and our toddler daughter got a few things out of the gumball machines.  She had a couple little bouncy balls, and got one of them stuck in the plastic bubble belonging to one of the other little toys she got.  We couldn't get it out, and my wife asked what to do, and I said we'd have to break it.  She pulls the BORebar I gave her recently out of her pocket with a grin on her face knowing I would be surprised and pleased at the same time.  She then used the pliers to grab and twist the bubble container until it broke apart enough to get the ball out.

I did tell her she should carry that in her purse instead of leaving it in the bottom of her bag of crafting supplies like she initially did.  I had recently "borrowed" it back from her for a week, and then just gave it back to her a couple days ago, under the condition that she would keep it in her purse, otherwise it does no good.  So I guess I'm starting to get through to her finally :tu:

I used my Swisscard Lite to remove a splinter today. It was great, with its pin, tweezers, and magnifier!

Used my Surge to open up the washing machine to see if the noise it's making is easily identifiable and repairable.  Worked a treat.

Of course, the noise is coming from the bearings and nothing easy to fix.  It's about 3 weeks out of warranty too. ::)

I came home from work and I carried my Tinker that day. I was looking around for my Crater C33T and found it upstairs out in the open. I thought I left it out there by accident. I asked Mrs. TJ and it turns out she used it to put together a carpet shampooer.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Used my Spirit to fix a light fitting for one of my residents. Coupled with my Greenwood and a hammer I'm pretty sorted at work.

Used the file on the PS4 to make a quickfix of some teeth of a gear on a RC car that had a mishap. Allowed my son to continue racing. The small thin file was as made for the task. It was easy to reprofile the teeth. Later we upgraded to a metal gear. PS4 is such a great EDC.

A passing motorist threw a used baby diaper onto my front yard.   :sa:

I picked the diaper up using the PowerPlay PT-510 pliers and transported it to the garbage.
