Given Some Old Tools Today
« on: July 23, 2009, 02:26:27 AM »
My son in law and i took a load of stuff to the dumps today for my wife's aunt. She gave us a box of old tools here are a few things i kept. I gave the rest of the stuff to my son in law.

A nice little hand warmer (anyone know what kind of fuel it takes) A 4oz Vaughn ball peen hammer ( i was thinking just right four SAK modding) A old leather cased steel 25 foot tape measure made by the Lufkin Rule Co. in very nice condition. A old small can of 3 in 1 oil and two old medal film cans one of them was full of copper nails.

Cool handwarmer :tu:

Just fill it with generic fuel you would use for a Zippo.  Watch out while you're using it...I've burnt myself once or twice!  You'll need some kind of fabric bag with a pull string top to keep it inside of.

I reckon that hammer would be just fine for SAK mods.  Nice set of tools.  :tu:

What did your son in-law end up with mate?

He made out real good old framing square, worm drive skilsaw, some nice handsaws 8 and 10 point crosscut and a rip saws just sharpened, A pair of coppers axes razor sharp, a old round chalk box and some good old wood chisels. The kid made out good. I was happy for him from years of hard work left me with two bad knees, back and wrests and to top it off arthritis has attic-ed all my worn parts. This kid is always their to help me what ever i am doing he is like the son i never had. I try to take care of him. I hook him up all the time.
