To me the old Wave was the best one. I love the drievrs the scissors slimmer blade etc. I wish they would have left as is and just added the locks

It does feel a lot better in the hand. I find the new Wave and Surge to be a bit blocky, and I do dislike how the blades jut out of the body excessively and even worse, on opposite sides. I know it makes them easier to one hand deploy them, but I don't like the feel when I am using any other tool on the MT.

With that said, there is a lot to say about the tool selection that the older one doesn't have.

There is no perfect MT out there.

Well maybe not but a Spirit with a pocket clip is pretty damn close.

Although I will confess, I was at Bass Pro Shops yesterday and fondled a Wave. I liked it, really liked the one handed blade opening but it just seemed "rough". It felt like it would tear up your pockets if you pocket carried it.
