I have a Spec Ops BDU pocket organizer , ends up in my bag , it's still uderpopulated . I also have one of their pack organizers , which is overloaded . I've been wanting an urban wallet for some time , as a front pocket carry . I'm not sure whether to go leather , or a 3 Oz. Latigo . The nylon would be light and slim , latigo would last forever , and resist moisture pretty well .

The Micro does wonders... what you can't see in the picture - a chap stick on the bottom of the left side, plus a tiny flat wallet with some papers, cards, numbers, info, band aids and pills... and also, when closed, I keep my phone in the outside mesh pocket for quick access

Recently I've reduced the things I carry and it turns out the Maxpedition CMC can pretty much work as an organizer, too:


On the inside I keep a few cards with important passwords that I shouldn't forget; in the zippered pouch I have an external internet modem and a flash drive; in the elastic loops I have some pills and as you can see, even 2 AAA batteries.


There I keep some cash and the cable that connects my phone to the PC:




The coin pouch works perfectly well for a ... phone pouch for me (Nokia 5530). I've attached a small carabiner to the zipper and with yet another carabiner, I attach the whole CMC to my Maxpeiditon Falcon...

It's supposed to be able to hold:

- a power bank for my phone
- my phone charger
- another small charger
- a USB cable
- a flash drive
- a flash drive-like 3G modem for my PC
- the LM PS4
- Lumintop tool AAA
- a few small pill containers

I don't always cary one, but when I do, it's built around a Victorinox Spirit:
- Spirit, bit kit with ratchet and a 1/4 hex to 1/4 square drive
- 1/4 socket set on a long machine screw with wing nut
- Fenix LD01
- Wenger Pocket Toolchest
- Pocketwrench II (in the slip pocket on the left)
- 5" pry bar (behind the bit set)
and if needed, a 6" adjustable wrench (not in picture)

Call me crazy, but why do so many of these "Pocket Organizers" look like they would never actually fit in a pocket?

A whole bunch of these zip bags can only really go on a belt or in a backpack, defeating the whole purpose. Designing something that actually fits in the pocket is much much harder.

I found these on the internet, great design, but they use just simple cardboard for an internal structure. Why not use the space?

Below is a 3D cad image of what I would use for myself to hold a key Fab, Leatherman PS4, Tile, and also a slot for standard 1/4 inch bits or 4mm bits. This would then be surrounded by elastic the same way as this pocket organizer is set up.

Thoughts?
