If you want to stick them on forever than I've used a two-part epoxy before.  I've also used Superglue but I have had this form a dimple in the scale over the pin where the glue seems to have slightly softened the cellidor.  I've had a thought that it might depend on the brand of superglue as to whether this happens or not (slightly different formula's perhaps ???) but that's only a guess.  Most I've used have been fine.

Great thread and pics. This is one of the threads that got me started modding SAKS.  :D
Mat last mods i did i reused scales i reinstalled the scales with no glue and they held fine. Might be worth a try.

Or, if you're a bit of a tart, polish them and make little patterns on them to show through :P

So, I just tried this out with the stock scales on my Recruit...seems like they just pop right on and off? Do you really need glue on there? It seems pretty sturdy as it is  ???

If it's new scales you don't need glue, but if you're reusing old scales you might wanna use a bit, just to make sure..  :)

I know... but currently I am copying old pictures from one external drive to another, and that blocks all my USB connections, and I have no chance to bring pictures on my PC. I will show pictures later, tomorrow or on monday!

I tried to do away with the vice and placed into a cloth and tried to bite down on the scale to get it into place. while I didn't leave teeth marks in the scale I think I cracked the outer clear layer somewhat and managed to mark it. Nevermind im sure a few days in the pocket will erode this unfortunate act on my part.

Don't chew on your SAK, it'll only end in tears.

 :D :D

I often go with the cloth and press option.  Find a hard and solid surface that you can really lean down upon.
