Tactical Looking Pen?
« on: July 28, 2010, 07:52:02 pm »
How's it goin guys?

Planning on buying a new pen since I cant stand using cheap pens. I like quality and love using a Parker Jotter pen. It looks brilliant and performs very well. However I now want something cooler :)
The UZI Tactical Pen has caught my eye however there is one thing I'm concerned about: the tactical-ness. From September, I will be returning to school and the thought of taking a potentially harmful pen to school is quite unnerving. Before you think i'm some 10 year old who carries a SAK, I'll be 17 in October and never carry my SAK to school.
Would you guys still recommend a pen like this or do you have any other recommendations? Would a tactical pen be too heavy for usage like this? I've had a look at the Fisher Space Bullet pen and I don't think it's for me. I just like the look of a tactical pen but don''t really need it for tactical purposes.

Thanks it advance guys  :tu:

Both UZI pens feature the DNA catcher on top of the pen, with sharpish crenellations.

I would avoid taking this pen to school.

I think I must not have said what I'm looking for right. Yeah its sorta messed up but like, I'm looking for something in the style of a tactical pen. If we take the UZI pen for example, it looks a lot different to a normal parker, but it can also be recognised as a weapon. If i was using it, someone might say to me:
"woah that pen looks sweet, are those ends sharp? is that a weapon?!"
But i want a pen that has the same design (perhaps this is a better word), but isn't a weapon, so someone might say
"woah that pen looks sweet" and leave it at that.

sorry for the confusion, my brain isn't working properly right now  :ahhh

if all else fails, i'll just buy the uzi pen  :P

yeah looks like i have just confused everyone. forget everything i have said.

next question. would you recommend the uzi pen? I want to keep the price to a minimum. I think i might just buy the uzi and possibly a fisher space bullet. How comfortable is the bullet?

"French self-defence expert, Fred Perrin, long associated with high end knife design has, like many others, turned his expertise to the design and manufacture of pens."

Sorry but this just seems like the word "tactical" added to things to make them cooler
