I keep thinking about getting a Slippy so if I tell you guys what I want then perhaps you could recommend one to me , pics would be nice too .

Made by a well known brand but not Vic or Wenger as I want to try something new .

Life time Warrenty

Two blades , the largest of which must be under 3 inches .

Not cost the Earth .

Something thats traditional in design thats looked apon in the same light as say a Buck 110.

Many thanks

Dunc

Not asking much are you :D

How much are you looking to spend?

Here's a good way to narrow down your search http://heinnie.com/vmg9hu48831/Knives/-UK-Legal-Carry/c-1-92-641/

That Hen and Rooster Bull rider looks very nice  I think I'd like something on those lines . What is their reputation like?

The two Case knives I own have fit and finish is on par with Vic.  I find that the friction that holds the Case blades open is a little stronger than Vic also, which is good.

Go with Case, and you can't go wrong.

www.wrcase.com

There are other options, of course.  Kissing Crane and Rough Rider are two others that come to mind.  Both are inexpensive, yet very solid products.  (KC was one of the old Solingen, Germany companies, but has gone over to Chinese manufacture.  RR is purely Chinese.)  The fit/finish on the KC and RR can be a little rougher, but for day to day, hard and heavy work, both are very good.

Dunc,

Have you seen the Benchmade NRA slipjoints here: about 3/4 down the page? Not bad for £18 and £21 each .......if you can stop drooling at the 'Blue Class" stuff above them.

Nearly forgot his slippie section:

Dunc,

Its only got one blade, but I vote for the Spyderco UKPK.  I have a black one for work and a green one for....well you know  :D

They ride VERY low in a pocket (not noticed until needed) are easy to carry, razor sharp out of the box, easy to keep sharp.

I even manage to clip one to a pair of shorts when I go jogging.  For me the ultimate UK legal slippie.

I never leave home without one.  :salute:

Nick
