Kershaw Half Ton
« on: October 01, 2009, 05:02:45 AM »
Looks like a decent worker/beater available at a great price:

Available for much less than the MSRP.

Also, I believe it has a cool pocket clip like this Chubby:

Does the pocket clip work as an actual open ended box wrench (or is it a crescent wrench XD)?

That's rather good for the money - oh wait, we should be paying about £25 for it over here  ::)

Fairly sure the pocket clip is purely ornamental.

These are sold by Snap-On dealers as part of their tool lineup, so the pocket clip reflects the occupation of the intended market - mechanics.

Darn, here I was thinking they were coming halfway with Spyderco's Spyderwrench. XD

Had the chubby for 6 years then my son took it. Got to say the chubby is a great piece but was discontinued for this model. I know the wrench is purely cosmetic, and the steel is the same as the Byrd knives by Spydie. I know it will be a winner!

Oh, I forgot to mention, but I saw one of these yesterday; it's quite a bit larger than I expected, the handle alone seems thicker and wider than my Leek.  Frankly, I was expecting it to be closer to the Chive in size. ^^;
