I know what you're thinking, you have already seen this. Well yes and no. It's true I didn't come up with the idea of using a chapstick cap as a diffuser for a Fenix E01.
http://edc3.net/images/wp/E01_diffuser.jpg (Not my picture.) But I needed a way to carry around the cap. So I came up with this solution:
1. Remove the cap from the chapstick
2. Remove the rest of the chapstick from the tube
3. Saw off the tube about 5mm below the cap lip (I used my Wave's saw, it seemed to work pretty well)
4. Sand down the sawed end of the tube stub (I used 80 then 600 grit)
5. Drill a small hole in the area below the cap lip (I used my Dremel knockoff)
6. Put a small split ring in the new hole
7. Attach cap to tube stub and attach the split ring anywhere you want
It took me around 20 minutes. It's great because you can just pull the cap off the tube stub and put it on the E01. It also smells like cherry.
(Two notes: My Minichamp isn't missing twezers, I just had them on my desk. Also, I drilled a hole in the cap trying a different method before I figured this out.)
