While I think that Fenix make great lights. There is something just not right about this. Surefire a year or so ago did a special limited edition light made from Titanium. It was called TITAN Very bad taste if you ask me.

I dont know the Batt situation in the UK , but in North Am. you can get Cr123's for $2.25-3-00 puck a piece if you know where to buy ( normally dozen up quantities ) . All my primary work torches are Cr123 , only the backups are AAA . To me the difference in energy density , and shorter overall length of the units is worth it .

Well, I got the PD10 Titan and I can confirm its damn sexy!  Its also light and bright and very cool - the exact opposite of its owner!

I'll get some piccies up in due course.  I've got a Christmas party to go to tonight so not until after the weekend (on call).  But they will follow!

While CR123's aren't really "that" hard to dig up here, I still don't like 'em. AA/AAA is still a lot easier and cheaper. Mostly though I don't like the idea of having to keep a supply of 123's around just for my light, when I know I will pretty much always no matter what/where be able to get my hands on a AA/AAA even if it means salvaging them from something else. If I'm going to be traveling or something, or if China invades, or whatever, I feel far more comfortable knowing that I WILL be able to get more batteries if need be rather than PROBABLY be able to find more.

My thoughts on CR123 exactly.  CR123 is harder to find and impossible to salvage.  You need a battery for your flashlight and it takes AA, look in any TV remote, game controller, clock, toy, junk drawer, whatever.  You can buy them at basically every retailer in the world.  CR123, on the other hand...
