Maxpedition EDC Organiser Owners Club
« on: January 13, 2010, 08:52:09 PM »
As there are threads and clubs for various multi tools I thought we could have one for the seemingly popular Maxpedition EDC Organiser  :drink:

I would be keen to see what everyone else is stocking theirs with and get some ideas all in one handy thread  :D

Obviously this isn't limited the Maxped version; all edc organisers welcome  :salute:

So here is mine. I only got it a couple of days ago and this is my first set up.

The one I ordered in khaki showed up today. No photo yet though it's almost full now except for a peanut lighter and tweezer I am waiting on. I filled it with useful stuff I will be transferring between a couple of Maxpedition bags that I use though it will primarily be in the Pygmy Falcon II that is my EDC bag. The EDC Organizer fits perfectly in the front slash pocket of the PFII and the little grab handle is ideal for pulling it back out of the pocket. So far I'm pretty happy with it.  :tu:

Are these really meant to be used to organise a pocket?  I tried mine in a cargo pocket and couldn't get things back in without taking the damn thing out of my pocket every time.  :ahhh

I will probably just end up using it as everyone else seems to, to transfer stuff between bags and stop it rattling about.  It just seems silly they would market something as a pocket organiser that can't be used in a pocket.

I'll thrown mine in here.  Just got  it a few days ago.  I've messed around with the order some, but here's the first pic.

I love this thing.

I'm not sure that the intention is for one to reach into the pocketed organizer and extract items and then put them back. Rather, one is expected to pull the organizer out, retrieve the item, and then put it back into the pocket. Thus the grab handle.

Of course I think they are best inside a larger bag, but...

I own a lot of Maxpedition and some Spec-Ops gear, but not this Maxpedition organizer.  I don't have a pocket large enough for it.

Can you open up this organizer and zip it inside out?    That would make it easier to access gear while the organizer is inside your pocket without removing the organizer.

I have one, thanks to Yellowhammer :D  but I haven't quite figured out what to use it for yet.

Currently it has the "extra" stuff which can be taken out of the bag easily when not needed. The sort of thing in there is paracord, hand sanitiser, arnica stick, tape measure and things like that. It's very bulked out as these items are quite thick added up.

This may of course change like the wind!  ::)
