A little OT..specialist tools
« on: June 14, 2007, 02:28:22 AM »
Ok,fellow cyclists..do any of you have any specialized tools for your bikes? I've been looking at some to have at home for simple repairs/maint..to stay out of the LBS. I'm strongly thinking of getting a repair stand to start with.

I,ve never had one for pushbikes, but i do use the one i had for my motorcycles, they do make life easier in that your standing rather than on your knees all the time  :)

if the price is right i,d get a dedicated cycle one.

Standing is so much easier than kneeling or stooping ! That's why I want to start with the stand first, life would be so much easier,if I could stand, especially if I get it in my head to swap out wheelsets.

I have all the specialized tools required for any of my bikes, including shock rebuilding kits for the MTB.  I have a Park repair stand in the garage.  I can't imagine not having one now.
