Great pics as usual Mat :salute: Does anyone know the name of these little boogers?
Gerber "Keystyle" is the name. Do a Google and you will find several web pages for them.

Thanks for the links mate  . The black ones look cool & the PEARLESCENT look positively exotic  :D :D.
Stressman any idea when Gerber made these , I am presuming they are no longer made

I have one of these; I stopped carrying it when the tools would slide open while inside my pocket.  Fortunately, the blade didn't open, but the screwdriver did.  I figured it wouldn't take too much to open the blade, so I removed it from my keychain and replaced with a Vic.  I had the wood finish version, and it does look nice when new, but it does eventually flake off.  IMO, a nice design poorly executed.

Just in case someone is wondering, I have several used ones of these and it seems that the black finish stays on the best while the wood grain is the worst.......

Sorry but I can not help with that. I have seen them for a couple years though and figured it was about when the Fiskars/Gerber merger thing happened right????

I was using the screwdriver & it kept retracting on me  :ahhh. I have fat fingers & screwing >:D( screwing means shagging in OZ :D :D :D) with the Keystyle  is tricky for me too hold the slide button & apply pressure(can be done though).

"NICE DESIGN POORLY EXECUTED" could easily have replaced "Fend for yourself" as a corporate catch phrase for Gerber in the past :D(hopefully things are on the up for Gerber now)

I had one of these (the green marbled one) and carried it for a while.  It was pretty useles over all.  The scales fell off and nothing held the blade and screwdrivers in place after they did.  Threw mine away and bought a new SAK classic.

I don't know what to say.  They look a little cheap to me.  Are the drivers inside the frame?  It looks as if they are only supported by the scales and those look like any centrifical force IE turning a screw would break them.

EDIT:  I just reread the post above.  Read the WHOLE thread before posting, got it.   :twak:

Well its just been re-resurrected :pok: Nice to find this as I'm after one of these as posted a little while ago here http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,32144.0.html it was the first on the list. I really like these oddities that pop up, so if anyone has one for sale, ideally in this style/colour please PM :tu: Will repost in tools needed too, hope that's okay and thanks.

ps. ebay US has a blue one at the mo http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gerber-Keystyle-Multitool-Keychain-Rare-New-Box-/270847396384?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item3f0fc34a20#ht_500wt_1076
