SAK sheath
« on: February 05, 2010, 08:57:52 pm »
I was bored this morning, and after cleaning all my tools noticed that i didn't have a sheath for my swiss army knife. Since i had nothing to do, i decided to make one.

I used a piece of a faux leather leash that my dog chewed in half. I stitched the thing together using some braided fishing line and an old bent sewing needle i found. For the snaps, i took them off of an old dilapidated binder.

I am happy with it. It's not bad for something a bored barely-teenager made with some scavenged materials lying around the house.

Another "good" source for sheath material could be an old leather belt that has "shrunk with age", and no longer fits.
