Shard arrived today!

After many many months of being on pre-order status with Rocky National, I was surprised today to find in my mail a new gerber shard! Yay! The coating on this seems and feels different than the coating they had on their artifact. Although, I think tomorrow I'll take the dremel and scrub it off anyway. I like my tools to be shiny!

I took all that ugly black stuff off with my dremel, then sanded out some of the scratches. It is still scratched, buy quite frankly, it doesn't matter. It was going to get scratched living on my keychain anway. I think it looks better. And as another member said, if I want the coating back all I have to do is dip it in a can of black paint.

There not the best photos, but their the best I can do. I use my wife's camera with that stupid autofocus face finder. Tools don't have faces! So it always seems blurry.

I just got one too.  Picked up last Sunday at the House of Blades in FT Worth.  The guy took it out of the shipping box right infront of me.  I t compliments my keychain tools nicely.

Got mine the other day! Super stoked on it, can't speak highly enough about it.  Keeping the Black finish on mine though, but it does look great in silver
