Fantastic steel but don't you find the ergonomics shocking on the lightweight Manix?

Square and uncomfortable; I still carry the BD-1 lightweight when doing some sports though.
Just not Spydercos impeccable ergonomics

Steel is great but I am not a huge fan of the ergos or the very front heavy balance. Never been one to lament a few oz of weight on my knives.

Daughter picked it out for a Fathers Day present so it will get a lot more pocket time then it probably deserves.

Second what was said about the Sage. I have a Sage 3 that I like very much.

I saw and handled some amazing Spydercos on Saturday, had a regional agent at an outdoor shop's event

Can't remember all the models,  but something strange, the Salt H1 is calling me

Everything was on special, so I started 2nd from the bottom and got my first Spyderco: the Persistence  8)

This Endura sized "Pacific Salt" is an awesome utility knife outdoors around water or surf. I carry mine when fishing and wading.

The serrated one holds a working edge longer; H1 is quite soft, it shows scratches easily and loses it edge on the plain edge version quite quickly.

They had that one on display as well, but that yellow handled one sits VERY nicely in my hand.....
.....its got a wicked edge on it!  8)

Just to be clear, nothing great on display, the good stuff came out of bystander pockets.......all except mine!
Google-fu came through......there was a P'Kal and I think a D´allara if I'm getting this right.....
There was also a Delica with something like 18 years pocket time, and the best part was seeing how they handle EDC.  8)

My biggest knife purchasing decision to date is looming: to buy or not to buy the Spyderco JaniSong

Nice toy!
I saw them but it never grabbed me; I can swing a Balisong though, played with one for years.

There's a YT vid of the designer playing with it.....fascinating!

Yes, I know  :D ........but the rules also say buy only what you like, and I don't love it, I just like it and suspect it might be a good investment....

OMGS! The Native is soo tiny. I always figured it's about Para2 size. No longer sorry I didn't buy one.
The Dragonfly is all the tiny knife I need.

It's not Dragonfly size. It's basically Delica size.

gotta say that is an amazing pic
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

I really need a full serrated H-1 again. Should of never got rid of my full serrated dragonfly in H-1.

Spyderco released the new H-1 models. Have you seen the black oxide Salt 1's?
