I love the Salt series. I love the salt series so much I might just start buying those from now on. I have always wanted to try and accumulate all the recent salt knives.

Good thing is they will last forever in storage with no worries of them ever rusting.

Right now I have

Dragonfly 2
Salt 1
Pacific Salt (Satin)
Pacific Salt (BO)

I really like the bladeshape on that Salt 1  :tu:  not a lot of Spydies without a really pointy blade.

It is said the serrated H-1 holds a edge better than the plain edge as well. I believe it is a harder RC.

That is my understanding too as H1 is known as "work hardened" so by putting the serrations in, it has heat treated the edge which makes it tougher, which provides better edge retention!

@ Aloha007 - The Spydie serrations do look bad a** that is for sure!! :)  I am not a serrations guy but had to pick this one up as I got it for a great price!  It is NIB and just resides in my small duffle bag with my few other toys! :)

Goodness with this all being said I'll be on the look out now for a Salt H1 SE.

I came on MTo with ZERO Sypdercos now I have like 7 .  These knives are pretty addicting.

Question.
Is there a larger Spyderco knife (7-10cm) with the Clippit dual blade format?

Thanks. That looks like a Victorinox Hunter which is cheaper and might be of better quality (and off topic)

Nice. But it goes for $280 while this http://www.actionitems.gr/patenta/Victorinox-Hunter-XS-0.8331.MC9.html goes for €40.
I was thinking about a Clippit type with the 2 blades on the same side and the serrated blade thumbhole near the edge, hopping it would cost around $100.

Those are some sweet blades.

Are the scales on the Bushcraft a custom order?

And is the edge hollow ground or scandi? Looks hollow ground by the pics.

Thanks.

It wasn't a custom order but it was a limited run.

The knife has a scandi grind which is better suited for battoning.

If you left click on the picture it will open a window which will increase the size and resolution of the picture.

Here are two limited collaborations that were designed specifically as Hunters.

The first is a Tim Wegner C48.

The second knife is an Ed Scott "Impala" C73 and the first time Spyderco incorporated a guthook into their knife.

I only have a few delicas left. This one is an old time favorite.
I had from Spyderco the Spyderfly, Delica 4 (3 of them), Endura 4, S.P.O.T, Military and Native III.
