I voted Leatherman. They make the best sheaths IMO.

Just not the "leather" ones.  I think there was more leather in my coffee this morning than their sheaths.
I'm back!!

I would have to say the best multi OEM sheath is the Leatherman Molle sheath . Spec Ops , Maxpedition , Blackhawk and a few others make superb mag pouches/multisheaths . To get a well made leather sheath for a multi , you have to go with a custom product , or again the everfaithfull mag pouch .

I like SOG's sheaths much better than I like their tools.  I voted SOG.

I've had a couple of Leatherman sheaths come apart, but I like older, slim nylon ones like the Pulse and ST200 sheaths.  I can't stand any sheath with elastic side panels.

Victorinox makes some decent sheaths.  The vinyl/nylon Spirit sheath I carry frequently has held up better than I thought it would.  Just melt the fraying around the edges every once in a while and it looks like new.  The cordura Swisstool sheaths are durable, but I find the belt loop a little loose.

Again the best current sheath depends on where and how you carry it.

On the farm, the leather SOG ones, just run circles around others.  They get spilled on and the leather gets contaminated, but is less bothered by the oils, greases, etc than other versions.  It is more, I did that how many hours ago, just wipe it off vs damm that look bad.

They live like the old Leatherman ones did.

Now in a damp, woods, military or law enforcement one, I may vote differently.

If we're talking normal run of the mill ones then SOG.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

While we're on sheaths, has anyone tried the new MUT molle sheath - if so, how is it?

Amici,
Although I usually ditch stock sheaths and go with something custom in either a leather or nylon configuration, I would have to say that the stock sheaths for the Vic tools are pretty darn good!

The nylon sheath is tough and better yet, has a snap, and the leather sheaths are very well put together with tight waxed stiching with some added riveted construction..

Too bad about the velco closures though, and it's not that I'm not anti-velcro either.

It just makes the leather sheaths look cheap, especially since they used so little of it.

Personally I think Victorinox goofed and should've gone with snap closures for both  their MT sheaths. Something to ponder if you're a leatherworker..

Cheers,
Serge

Well said ! I usually either make myself a leather sheath or use Nylon Mag. pouches (Blackhawk , Eagle , Safariland , or Bianchi accumold ) . They come in various sizes and single/doublestack . Double mag pouches are nice , as you can stash other stuff in the second pocket .

Amici,
As I had posted in an earlier thread, although I prefer custom sheaths, as soon as I saw this "stock" one being offered and at the price with shipping, I just HAD to have it.

Let me also add with said above, it's not too bad!! The leather is VERY supple, the camo pattern is great, belt loops very adequate and not at all a struggle like other LM leather belt loops are for vertical carry, plus the Charge TI fits perfectly. Better yet it has a snap closure, so you can't get any better than that, BRAVO LM!

Cheers,
Serge

The leather on the black sheaths does eventually soften up to perform like the camo sheath in your pic though - you just have to persevere with some of the black Charge sheaths, but I still think they are the best stock sheaths out there. That said, I have a camo one like in your pic permanently attached to my Falcon II - it goes nicely with the foliage webbing :P

Leatherman used to, but I voted Vic because my Spirit sheath was really well made and better than all my LM sheaths.
