Wave Pocket Clip Appreciation Thread
« on: March 02, 2010, 05:00:51 PM »
:salute: The best accessory for a multitool imo...innovative, handy, functional and cheap. I wish every multi had this option, but only Leatherman has this type of innovation. I dont usually wear a belt so its the best option for me.

My only gripe is that it doesnt fit the surge as well as the wave, and moves around too much, but it's still usuable.

I hate them actually.  The wave is too thick to carry in a pocket easily in my opinion, and ever clip I have had, has been snagged on the couch and bent.  So, its sheath or pocket carry only for me.

Front or back pocket?

I keep it in the front and barely notice its there, and don't usually wear it around the house.

I liked the one on my Charge Ti . The thickness of the package , plus the texture of the Ti made it feel pretty secure . I only carried it while wearing loose fitting work type pants .

It felt really insecure on the Surge , didn't fee; like a viable option .

I'm a fan as well. Multi-tools should, at the very least, have the option for a pocket clip since it opens up a lot more options. They can generally be fitted with a minimum of fuss during production but are difficult for the end user to install so it's good to see examples like the Wave an Skeletool that incorporate them into the design.

Good girls ask the question..Bad girls find out on their own.  Same thing I say when someone asks if I am going "regimental" under my kilt.

I accidently bent off the clip on my ALX.  I really want to replace it, but I don't want to spend 10 bucks plus shipping on a little piece of metal. It did start to wiggle a bit too before it went. I miss that pocket clip :'( maybe someday I will replace it.

The Ti and XTi look like they would hold a clip more securely as they have a recessed area of the Ti scales where the clip touches the handle, which would minimize side to side motion.  The ALX and AL are flat scaled and do not offer that advantage.  Can anyone comment on the Ti's clip holding vs the AL's? I don't have a Ti and so I only say what I think I see.

All Multi's should have the clip option , ditto for Alox SAK's .
