Man bags have lottsa good little pockets . Do you really need a multi on the person , near the person will usually serve , backed up by an Alox SAK in the pocket .

Don't laugh at me but for a while now I have been carrying my Pulse in a Ipod sock like this one in my front pocket.

I keep it in the same pocket as my flashlight so I try to keep unnecessary ware down.

The big problem with pouches, at least over here in the UK, is the fact that they advertise your 'tooled up' status to the old bill :-\

I know mike, yesterday monday while out i kept making sure my top was pulled down over my pouch , having them going across ways is probably better, but i like them the normal way, blooming world we live in,  :-\

Yeh I like horizontal carry , not so noticable and doesnt seem to catch on as many things .

A good percentage of the time I am not wearing a belt, let alone pants with beltloops for a caribiner. I never trusted the clip that came with the Skeletool. I found myself constantly checking to make sure it was still there. Almost lost it a few times. This is what I came up with that works perfect for me and my needs. You hear and feel a click once the tool is locked in. If I stand, it swivels vertically. When I go to sit, it automatically swivels horizontally so it doesn't jab my leg, etc. The clip is "barbed" and won't come unclipped unless you physically do so and yet if I need my tool it only takes a split second to release it by pushing the button. To attest to how much I trust this setup, I flipped twice on my mountain bike (unintentionally) and it stayed put with no issues whatsoever. It hangs the tool a little low, but the Skeletool is such beautiful, wicked looking tool and don't mind if it is on display.....

Here's the button I machined for my Skeletool.....

Here's the clip.....

I am working on different variations for my other tools as well.....

Genius is not always radical innovation, but finding new use for old idea.

I have come up with a new method of carrying my stuff that allows me to spread everything out in all my pockets.  Right front- skeletool clipped with biner and wallet.  Small pocket has guitar picks.  Right rear- customized compact nylon sheath holding all Leatherman bits.  I hang it with a s-biner so I don't feel it when I sit down.  Left rear is tool chain clipped with Fenix LD01.  Same thing I have it set up so it stays in place and don't feel it when I sit down.  Left front is cell phone and keys.

I used to have most everything in a oversized night eyes sheath but found myself catching it when I got in and out of the car and just feeling like it was in the way all the time.  It was also heavy with a charge and so much other stuff jammed in there.   Now the wieght is evenly distributed and I actually have more specialized stuff.  The only thing I miss about the charge is a file and scizzors.  When the new style cs is out I'll clip that inside my left front pocket.

unfortunately it is very possible :-[  I have had this happen once or twice but it was whilst I was in a confined space, like at work.  Thankfully not on the street or I would be out a nice SAK :ahhh
