how does one become a mod? I am a member (under this same name) at EDCF, CPF, and Knife forums(also a member of SOSAK, as I am sure you are aware). I would love to become more involved with the online knife and tool community as I really am trying to start up SAK modding. I asked Tom Meeker about it, he gave me a general idea of what being a forum mod is like, but he is really busy and I am sure he can't even remember my last email on the subject.
You don't want to be a Mod, trust me! It's all work and no glory. Just because Ben thinks he is a big shot doesn't mean you really want to be a Mod!
When I said "mod" I meant it as short for "Moderator" not guys who mod knives! Anyone can do that with varying levels of success! If you meant how do you become a moderator, well that is an unofficial process where we decide whether we need someone new or not, then the existing moderators pick candidates and vote on who they hate the least! I am really interested in getting some (really) used knives from both brands and refurbishing them.
