I was hoping that there is someone on the board here that is close to the new retail store. It would be nice to get some of the referbed waves. I got one from Feline Vet and wish I bought them all. So anyone close buy?

They sell refurbed ones at the retail store? I assumed they would only sell the current models at the
M
SRP...since they are the
M
anufacturer.
Someone did go there, maybe he knows...

Are you talking about the retail store at the Leatherman factory? NeitherExtreme was just there last week.

I don't remember him talking about refurbished tools though.

I've got the Beater Van in the driveway ready to go... everyone will just have to chip in for oil. This thing burns quite a bit of it
(It also leaks it all over my driveway)

So, we have a pilgrimage with two missions- one to see Leatherman and Spyderco, and another to save Mike's driveway!
Please tell me it's not a Caravan!

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe Felinevet acquired a group these Leatherman Waves with broken or missing components. He was then able to disassemble them and use the parts to rebuild several back to spec.
Scroll down:

You might want to email him and check if he has any more available.

Yup- Felinevet is the guy to talk to about used or refurbed multis. They aren't factory refurbs though- they were done
by
Felinevet for Multitool.org members exclusively. With all of the things he gets in from time to time it pays to keep in contact with him!
Well, it pays him anyways!

Speaking of pilgrimages and Spyderco, have you ever noticed what is stamped on the blades of some of the knives?
It says somthing like this:
Spyderco
Golden, Colorado, Earth.
I guess even aliens will eventually make it to the factory. (no, I am not talking about people jumping the border either)

Ha, maybe they expect their knives to last even when we are on other planets?
Instead of "Is it made in china or the US?" it will be "Cool knife, from Mars or Earth?"

You never know. Perhaps somthing crusing the universe will make a pilgrimage to the Spyderco plant. They might even be impressed.
