Ok guys I thought best to keep all the seiko chunky diver stuff in one place, makes it easier should anyone need to find it for references  :salute:

Here's why I was a little worried when I received it,at first I thought my wife had ordered me a plastic bath duck or indeed  a toy for herself  ::)

next well what else would I use to open it up with  ;)the Douk Douk made easy work of that  :D

This is what was inside thankfully NOT a vinyl toy LOL

inside that a rather nice SKX007K2  :tu:

back of the SKX007 apparently originals have this blue sticker where as the fakes have a clear one with a red band,I read that somewhere.

well I just had to open the case back to put my mind at ease, and you can see it has all the correct markings and parts,so now I'm very happy and my love for this watch is growing

another view :tu:

you can see I've removed the jubilee bracelet,I just can't get on with that it would be like putting handcuffs on each morning   so when I can afford it I'll get a couple of other straps like zulu or nato strap  :tu:

sorry for the crappy pics they were taken on my phone.

A question for our very own watch guru,Paul  :D hey Paul no big deal as I like my 007 a lot but can you figure out this:

When I use the online calculator for dating my watch it keeps coming up Mar 2000 yet a little research on the movement mine is (7S26B) that particular movement only came out around 2006 so I've read  can you shed any light on this  ;) thanks for your time  :D

Oh SN/036178 movement 7S26B

the date calculator can be a little unreliable, you can google a manual way of dating it. The first few numbers relate to month and year.

Otherwise, replacement movement?  was it from the Philippines ?

Yeah I shouldn't worry too much I doubt it has ever been worn tho as it had all the protective strips on the bracelet case back ect..

[edit] A little more research I find the calculator can't tell that the 7S26B was produced in 2006/2007 so it just throws up 2000,in other words it may not work if you have a 7S26B caliber  ;)
