Well the knife would not get much EDC time but I've gone back a little into watches when I was 11 years old I was given a Roamer I still have it but it's dead and battered, since then I have had a Tag 6000 series a sector divers and fleetingly a Rolex oyster it went back as I found it to small and sterile with the silver dial I was a fussy sod back then  ::)

:tu:  watches are great john, ive loved them since i was around 7-8 long history of mainly divers, had a few 6309's now and a citizen diver a few years back, never had any real top end stuff ie rolex omega etc, one day , im my family on both sides there are a few rolex going around , im really a panarai fan but there mega bucks so i build homages to them, there still lovely watches as are these i build as there a nice watch for the buck and look like there worth a lot more, i prefer sterile as gives it military look , plus its nice saying it was built or i built it, plus for me its a mechanical watch every time, yes not as accurate as a top end quartz but has a better feel to it, almost like a little heart beating  :D plus a like a sweeping hand,

I've been thinking about buying an SKX700 myself, but I haven't talked myself into it, as I really like a hacking second hand.  I'm not sure why, because I never really need accuracy better than +- 1 minute anyway.  Maybe I'll get over it someday.

im the same as generally prefer a hacking second, but its more of a military thing  :D  ive built a few mil spec watches and it doesnt seem right not having a hacking second, but my 6309 was a mil mod but no hacking second, but you cant beat the seiko movements there real workhorses so i didnt want to change it,

[edit] Firstly I hate the jubilee bracelet, that has to come off I'll use some string until I can get a zulu band or something

John there arnt many fakes of these so should be the real deal, send me picks if you wont to, other strap alternatives as you say zulu's are great but can be pricey plus i like to have 2 of this type of strap as they can get smelly  :D so you can swap them around, i love silicon straps as a every day strap as very comfy, plus rubber, i have some nice silicones and natos i can put you onto john if you like just pm me mate  :tu:
