Ever seen this?
« on: April 24, 2010, 03:47:07 PM »
hey I got this a long time ago at a second hand store, and was wondering whether it's some nameless cheap crap, or whether it was once a well known tool.  It looks to have had a hard life, that knife blade has been sharpened plenty of times.

Fork, Spoon, can opener/ bottle opener, saw, knife, 90 degree sheepsfoot blade (stops at 90 degrees), corkscrew, file, awl, punch of some sort

Those are some Post WWII Japan made stuff that seems to be pretty common here in the US. I have seen some models that seem to be better made as well as models that seem to be rather sloppy made.

I have  one of those!  My uncle bought one for himself and my aunt when they went on a trip to Europe back in the 60's.  I found one of them in an old trunk.  I have a picture of it on here somewhere.

I had one of those as a kid and I loved it. Came with a BIG sheath and people knew when you were carrying it. :D

Dunc I have one similar to yours, (stays in the van at work) so no pics till Tuesday (if I remember).

Given to me by a friend when I got my job so it became the VAN knife. :D

That's a pretty neat one Neil! :tu: Do the spoon and fork "lock" onto the knife when they are folded?
