Thanks to Gareth I have all I need to ruinmodify my Wave more to my liking. I'll be putting a small flathead in place of the small bit holder. The problem is the flathead is about 0.5mm too thick and I'm having a mare of a time loosing that excess metal. Wet and dry ... pfff  DC4 diamond side ... pfff  It's going to take me years. Still the long winter evenings will fly past

Emery cloth is going to be slow too ( I think )  Ryan. A belt sander or linisher is just what I need as well as being a solution for overlong fingernails

That only happens if you leave a Leatherman in Mike's presence for more than a minute at a time.

0.5mm is quite a chunk    I'd mount it to a block of wood and then rub it back and forth on a coarse sharpening stone.  I've reduced thickness this way before.  Its not perfect but it only takes minutes rather than hours with papers

I use my dremel to grind stuff down, it dont take long and you can keep checking it to see if its right, just a idea
