Welcome venom1912.

You could try posting your questions on http://messenforum.nl/ too. It's a Dutch site, but run by a friend of ours and posting in English won't be a problem.

They know loads about knives, and being a European site, might know about French and German knives especially - it's worth a try. Ask for Kwakster :tu:

Welcome venom1912

The second knife is a Laguiole knife a French waiters pocket pen knife your best bet is to contact them for info on your particular knife  :tu:

That said I can't say if it's a genuine one but it ticks most boxes in my book  :tu:

Thanks for your ideas :). Initially I think that it is laguiole knife as it looks the same as my other laguiole knife. But it's so strange about the letters stamped on the knife LESABOT, it should have been the name of knife material likes 440C or 12C27 instead. The knife also looks old so I think it was made long time ago. Hope that someone can give me more information about this  :(

Doesn't "Le Sabot" translate as "shoe" or maybe "hoof"?  Shoe makes sense as a reference to the shape of the bolster.

as i know laguiole isnt a knife co, its a place somewhere in france, so many craftsmen make this kind of knifes, it is just like the french wines the name comes from the place they are made..  :P  the particularity of this tools is the bee or fly in the back of the knife.

You're absolutely correct.  Laguiole is a style of knife named after the town.  many makers produce this style of knife and, ironically, many of them are based in the town of Thiers not Laguiole at all.
