What do you have against a saw, if I may ask?

Maybe its just me (and Gareth! :D) but I just don't see the point in puny little wood saws. :P I mean, in order to get a decent stroke on the saw, the diameter of the object being cut should be about half the length of the saw blade or less. And if its that small, why not just break it? ::)

I must confess that I've never ever not once felt it necessary to use the saw on my KF4 (but I've had numerous occasions when I wished it had a pair of scissors) Hence the swap on this mod. :)

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

WOWSERS Bob , that is looking Brilliant

I have been wondering about how hard it would be to put a thumb stud on a Buck110 I have on the way. Sounds a bit tricky :(

Bob GREAT work mate  :salute: :salute:

I remember there being a third-party thumbstud kit you could purchase to add to a THO blade, but I forget the name of it. :/
I believe it was called the "One Armed Bandit". I tried one on a Buck 110 years ago and it works sometimes, but a couple times I badly cut my thumb while attempting to OHO.

Just today I used my Wave's saw to cut off some dowel rods that used to hold my platform bed together.  It was in a small space, and there wouldn't have been an effective way to snap them off, so out came the saw.

I often find myself using the saw on goofy little things like saplings in our flower beds, thin trim board, dowels, what have you.

Then again, it isn't a Juice saw either, which are a bit more puny and flexy :P

I hope this is a fast week, as this mod makes me a-twitter with anticipation!  But after this...you have to call it something other than a "Juice"!  Juice is such a girly, mamby-pamby name for a multi...and this is a much cooler version :)

The Juice saw works great on Blackberry canes.

Just sayin'

Ah ha, I see. Thanks for that.

I have no experience with a juice saw but I sure do with the saw on my wave and it seems pretty useful to me. But it does lock on the wave and it is a little more beefier on the wave I'm told.

Anyhow, do what you have to do and I'm looking forward to the end result  :tu:

long wood saws are SOOO MUCH EASIER than stumpy ones. same with files.  I must obtain a kf4 so there can be some backing to my convictions :D

It's a good thing you're not a Brit Bob...you would have been obligated to start a Saw or Scissors Poll ::)  :D

Heh, I'd come to, um, borrow your stuff all the time.  ;) Wish I had all those toys to play with, all I have is a dremel and belt sander on a half broken IKEA table. :(
