I was looking at the new Micro ToolClip on SOG's site, and now they say it isn't coming until July.

Bummer, but hopefully they are using the extra time to get them absolutely perfect!

I know that SOG is really good about not releasing things until they have it right, but this is getting old. The Powercut, the PowerAssist, and now this. If they are going to have this "it isn't ready until it's ready" attitude, which I applaud them for, then they need to run with that. Stop sying they are going to release things by a certain date, and then repeatedly delay or cancel it if it isn't working out. Maybe wait longer before they announce things, or give themselves more leeway in the release dates. Or just come right out and say "We are working on this new product, when we get it perfected, we'll release it".
SOG reminds me of the current video game industry. Everything gets delayed over and over. The few companies that come right out and say "it's done when it's done" (Valve, Blizzard, Stardock) are widely respected for putting quality first. I think if SOG followed this same practice it would make them stand out in the knife/tool industry as putting quality at the forefront, instead of building themselves a reputation of looking like they can't ever meet a release deadline.

They should just shut up about new tools and when they are 100% happy with the tool they should just surprise us with a release.

I really think Gerber took the prize this year for availability of items at the shot show. It was only about a week or two after the show that I was able to purchase a new octane from a nearby REI. You have got to admit that is great compared to the rest of the bunch. The new keyring tools from Leatherman are out now too and look well made but I still have to hand it to Gerber on the rollout timing.
