:o

That neck seems a bit thin for that large head on the one on the right.

Better send it over for testing Tony. Just to make sure it is safe to use.    :D

Having seen the luck you had I stopped by a garage sale yesterday.  He had tools and they were rusty, but nothing of value. It wasn't even worth making a bulk deal offer for the entire rusty lot.  <sigh>

My arms might be getting longer, people get out of your way if you are carrying a big Axe  :D

Bottom left is a bit odd, solid lead, I thought it was a plumbob but I think it might just be a weight for some kind of fishing?

The plasterboard saw is a Stanley 'fat max', the yellow tin snips are weiss both good quality  :tu:

The small square is to replace the one Neil kindly gave me that has gone AWOL, trying to get my chisels sharp and square

And tucked away on the left is (I think) a thread file (I have a plan)

Lower middle right just below the footprint.  Another sharpening stone or is that a small french rolling pin?

Might be a fishing weight, but it would take one smurf of a rod and reel to throw it out.  Maybe a net weight, odd shaped sash weight or a flap weight for a tent?

Could be a loom weight, used for weaving?

Phil,
I didn't know what a Loom weight was until you mentioned it, had a google and you might be right but I guess at 2 ½ lbs it would be too heavy?

I need to spend some time in the garage cleaning and sharpening stuff  :ahhh
Strange scissors?  :D

Depends on the size of the loom, our blanket loom in work has an assortment of weights all around it, the heaviest is a monster at 30 pounds. I think that they use the pear shaped weight so that nothing can catch on them as they're without corners?
And I really like the look of that penknife!  ;)
