More likely the sellers have all colluded to hold off for a while and make him a bit crazy and willing to pay sky-high prices when he does finally find the object(s) of his desire ......   ;)   :pok:

Went to a moving house clearance sale.  Got this for about AU$10

There were several othe Footprints of smaller size, but no original screw, and the jaws were all minced up.  This one is in very good condition apart from the rust.
Bosch Jigsaw for $5, so the rest was about $5.
Magnifying glass with LED lights and stand, Fresnel lens magnifying sheet, Round compass, small square, Vic classic in poor condition, some small USA made tool, Small Ball Peen hammer of unknown weitght, an E10 globe.
And a nice brown leather sheath, unfortunately empty of knife  :( Guess I need to find something to put in it?  :D
A Buck 110 is the right width but too short.  Any ideas as to what it'd be good for?

Yep another stove

Inc; a conical oil stone, another 1/4 driver, 'RAC' badge off some old car, new files...

Great finds!

Those small pry bars always come in handy.  I also see a Fortsner bit along with the spade bits.  Those Fortsner bits make nice clean holes in wood.    I look forward to seeing the stove once you clean it up and get it working.

I have one or two prybars already but for 50p I had to get another  :D
I picked up a lot of bits I didn't really need because they were cheap, I have no use for the forstner bit but one day...

I purchased a set of inexpensive fortsner bits a few years back.  I have only used one or two of the bits in the past 10 years.  They are a perfect solution for some drilling problems.

I was asked if I could fix up this cast iron Victorian fireplace insert for someone and I said yes

And was given a  SAKalike with wood scales and a tiny hammer that were dug up in a garden  :D
