Zed, I layed floors for 32yr I started out laying carpet then I was taught how to lay linoleum/ vinyl flooring. Then hardwood floors became big I spend the last 17yrs laying them. I kept my hand tools and seam iron I gave my nephew the rest of my flooring tools.

i started back in 1980 when i was 10,most of my family are carpet  fitters,i did it till 2001 but had a bad bike accident so had to change my career,i still fit though on and off, sadly my knees arnt good these days,i fitter most stuff including laminate, i also did border work,i worked in Belgium for 3 years but mainly worked in london and surrounding areas, :tu:

That's cool a fellow Ruger. Once I learned how to lay sheet vinyl they did not have me lay much carpet. We used to cove a lot vinyl floors in Ca. There is not to many guys left that can pattern floors. Do they cove vinyl in Britain?

Perfect Handle screwdrivers are very collectable.  Show that one again once you clean it up.

A full compliment of wood grenades and wedges helps when you have a particularly recalcitrant piece of wood to split.

Lots of people on this side of the pond like those Older Bahco adjustables.

Great hunting this weekend!

The driver third from the left is a Model 660.  It has the number on the tip.  It is rarer than the rest.    Depending upon the use and style, the hammer could be a drilling hammer or an engineer's hammer.  Lump hammer seems an appropriate moniker.

I have a useful little round file, not as sharp as it was

Someone on here said you can sharpen a file by soaking it in vinegar for a while.... a few weeks later

I blame Santos and my bad memory  ::)
