Smallest Wine Bottle Opener In the World?
« on: June 22, 2010, 10:38:57 am »
I found this whilst browsing for small things to go on my keys! It looks absolutly tiny, has any one used it? or seen it before!

I've just ordered one as it's only £5!

I'll let you know how I get on with the True Utility one I posted, its got a patent pending on its size so maybe will rival yours Neil.

Thank you for the welcome too :)

PPT, you're kind of a True Utility junkie, I think :)  Interesting little doodad.

Neil, what backspring is that?  Would the hole on the corkscrew line up well enough with the hole on the spring to lash them together with a clip or something?  I was sitting here looking at a bag of Vic parts thinking the same thing, then saw that you beat me to it :P
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

Tehe I am bit right! It's the only brand I've found that's small enough to make everything fit in my handbag, could you recommend any similar?

thanks :)

Neil,
Love that I've just joined and found this! Have you been using it for long, was just wondering if you found the too will wear eachother away slightly over time maybe resulting in losing the corkscrew? I like the concept of the first one posted, would like to see it in real life though I think. How many times are you at a party when people can't find the corkscrew eh!

Never used, I don't really like wine :D  OK, if there's a glass going I may indulge but I certainly never buy it ;)

In reality I'd say something like this (or the real deal at the top of the page) would be an emergency wine opener.  I'd rather use a SAK or better still one of those fangled corkscrews with the flappy handles.

Yee good point actually. I think I'd find it useful in garden situations when you've taken your own wine to someone else's house or you just can't plain be bothered to go inside and get the full one. I quite like to have anything to hand when people ask for it too just as a sort of bravado thing.
Might try the top one then seems like the quickest option for me at the moment and it's a reasonable price I'd say.

I can barely do it with a full size SAK, how can anyone yank out a cork with that?
