My current EDC setup
« on: July 19, 2010, 01:48:45 pm »
I am finally finding what works for me and what i do on a day in and day out basis.  Sometimes you use one tool or the other but this works for me the best so far.

USB flash drive on keychain for PC repair
Doc Allen Versatool
Swisscard lite
Pocketwrench 2
Fenix P3D

This is a compact and easy to carry setup for me as most items fit in one pouch which I wear on my belt.  I thought about using the Fenix LD01 but it is too small for me to hold well.  I would like to trade that light for a AA Quark if I could.  :)

I do not own a farmer.  I do however have a Deluxe tinker.  Would this be overkill to add the DT SAK to this setup....I mean redundant?  :)

A SAK is never redundant.  Well, sometimes, but only if you're carrying two SAKs.  I always have one on me and I find that along with my flashlight it tackles more daily chores than any other piece equipment I carry.  That deluxe tinker is a great EDC SAK because it has nearly everything you need in a MT, albeit in a slightly less rugged package.  Don't get me wrong, it will stand up to a lot of abuse, but it is for light duty every day stuff.  I carry an explorer now (sometimes an Alox soldier) and it does everything I need except grip.  That is where my MT comes in.

Oh, and you really ought to get a farmer, or some kind of 93mm Alox SAK.  You don't know what you're missing.

A SAK can't be redundant , and even if it was , two is one , one is none !

Just googled the farmer after seeing this thread and that thing looks awesome. Has stuff I actually need, but not the ugly toothpick scale. Is there some good place to get it except ebay? (I'm in Norway, so Amazon etc is out of the question). Do wish it had a philipshead though
