DIY Kydex questions
« on: June 30, 2010, 02:30:33 am »
I have done some "Google work" and am not convinced that I want to make some of my own Kydex sheaths.

A number of the DIY references are old, outdated and dead links.

Comments & recommended WWW reference site for DIY Kydex sheaths greatly appreciated.
Why do I carry a 45 ?

If you join the USN , there are a lot of Kydex tutorials /threads . Just watch out for your wallet , lots of cool gear being discussed . It's pretty easy to work with , heat gun , toaster oven , rivets , couple of pieces of plywood -one with two layers of closed cell foam attached .

I have been banned from "USN" after some "kid"  screwed me on a deal, he was a member longer than I and the Admins sided with him.

I send him $100 knife  and he in turn sent me $5 in plastic trinkets and crap claiming there was an expensive knife in the parcel, that must have evaporated from the parcel, as the parcel ( a padded Kyvek bag ) arrived in tack. He had tried this " trick " before and had gotten away with it, and I should have known better.

Needless to say he lied and I was banned. I don't get mad I get even  AND I will get even.

Not today, not tomorrow, BUT some day, guaranteed and that's a promise !

Kydex isn't a great idea for indoor use , can scratch hell out of furniture .
