Gerber DIESEL Philips Mod
on: July 14, 2010, 08:23:35 AM
So I got the Diesel a few months ago and was sort of disappointed with the 2D Philips they put on these tools.

So...

Two GERBERS...

Nothing new

Anything different?

What bout now...?

The parts tool still works...but it has more lanyard attachment points than you can shake a stick at.

Next Up:

A later model BO Multi-Plier 600 with:
-carbide inserts
-regular blade(not the weird flat one)
-saw

A later model Multi-Plier 600 Bluntnose with:
-carbide inserts
-regular blade(not the weird flat one)
-saw

Not a very technical mod, but we have to start somewhere.

Wow.  Maybe you can convert the first lanyard ring (the one with more metal) into a cutting hook?

You can now also get a bit kit for the Diesel... ;)

Flipping 2D drivers ::)    Good job :tu:

I think you should call the double lanyard one the Gerber Belt & Braces :P
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Gerber has recognized the folly of their flat phillips drivers, and wisely went back to square shank phillips on their new Strata, Octane, and Crucial tools. :salute:

(now they ought to go back and fix the Diesel as well)
