As I'm here....

Last summer, I'd bought a new lens and took it to some local castle ruins to try it out. As I was huffing and puffing up a tight stone spiral staircase in a tower something made me jump and I managed to point the camera and hit the shutter. No photoshopping here, just a really lucky shot:

I used to come here a lot.

Thanks Derek. As I say I can't really take too much credit for it as it was just an instinctive reaction to press the shutter.

It was a dark stone staircase, but somehow there was just enough light from the window and how the 70-200mm lens got anything like a focus I'll never know.

Truly was a lucky shot!

This was the tower, I guess I was about half way up:
